The short version: this site doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking, and the only personal information I collect is your email address, if you choose to subscribe.

Who I am

This site is run by Avalore Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17046103). For anything about your data, email hello@avalore.org.

The newsletter

When you subscribe, I send a confirmation email to the address you gave. Your address is only added to the mailing list once you click the link in that email. If you never click it, it isn’t added.

Once you’re subscribed, I use your email address for one thing: sending you notes when I publish them. I don’t sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you like using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing me.

Emails are sent through Resend, which stores the mailing list and keeps logs of emails sent on my behalf. Resend is based in the United States.

Everything else

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (like IP addresses) to serve pages and keep the site secure. If you email me, I’ll have your email and whatever you write, and I’ll only use it to reply.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete any information I hold about you. Email me and I’ll sort it out. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
